Fibre Optic Kits

Our fibre optic kits are capable of transmitting video signals up to 20km in great clarity. When you need to situate one or more cameras remotely without loss of control and connect to a network, fibre optic is effective and reliable.

These kits take an analogue or digital video signal and send the data down a single fibre optic cable. Video over fibre converters are ideal for sending CCTV video over longer distances or for mission-critical installations where fast HD video is required.

Fibre optic kits are wall-mountable and include a transmitter and a receiver. You can connect a CCTV camera to a transmitter and receiver via a hot-swappable small form-factor pluggable (SFP) module (available via our online store).

The video feeds can then be outputted to a computer monitor, DVR, television, control console, or similar device.

Our ‘Single Way Single Mode Video Fibre Optic Kit 20km with Transmitter and Receiver’ boxes handle all the encoding and decoding, enabling you to save time and concentrate on running your CCTV installation efficiently.

A fibre optic CCTV installation can also be used in blended networks where there is a mixture of traditional copper wiring and fibre optic cabling.
