Terms & Conditions Of Sale

This Agreement should be read carefully as it contains the terms and conditions which form a contract between DTS Digital (We, Us, Our, Ours) and the customer (You, Your, Yourself)

All orders are subject to the following Conditions:

You can order online from our website, by telephone or by email. All payments are made through Sagepay or PayPal merchant services.

Payment is due at the time of ordering, unless specific other arrangements have been made. Prices quoted are exclusive of VAT and are current. However, we reserve the right to change prices without notice. Payment can be made through PayPal or by cheque however we do not despatch goods untill we have received full payment for all goods.

Ownership of the Goods
Ownership will only be transferred to you when you have paid cash or have cleared funds in payment of all sums due to us in respect of the goods.
Until payment is made to us you must store the goods in a secure way. The goods including the packaging must be kept in new condition and remain our property until paid for in full. We retain full legal and beneficial title to the goods and reserve the right at any time to require you to deliver the goods to us and, failing to do so, we retain the right to enter your premises or of any third party where the goods are stored and repossess the goods.
Until payment is made you shall be entitled to sell the goods or incorporate them into other products acting as our agents but then the title to the goods shall remain with us, and you shall remain fully accountable for the proceeds of the sale.

Description of Goods
We reserve the right to supply goods of substantially the same quality or better than those described. The seller accepts no responsibility whatsoever for the accuracy of data or the description of goods supplied in contract or otherwise or for any compatibility issues, damages or injuries arising directly or indirectly from any errors or omissions in product descriptions or otherwise. Electronic component data may be derived from one of many manufacturers and data may vary from one manufacturer to another. Actual product may differ from image shown. Manufacturer and origin of product may differ from that advertised on website.

Despatch of Goods
We despatch Goods by Carrier or Post to UK based customers. Exports are made by prior arrangement. Delivery charges are calculated by weight of the goods, distance of the delivery address and value of the goods.
Delivery time is not guaranteed and shall not form a basis of any agreement. We shall use reasonable means to deliver by a specified date but shall be under no liability whatsoever for delivery delays or their consequences, however caused and you hereby waive irrevocably all your rights and remedies (if any) in respect of any loss or damage suffered or incurred directly or indirectly as a result of any late delivery of the Goods.

All international orders will be advised of the shipping charges before the checkout process. International shipping typically starts at £19.95 and increases depending on the weight of your order. If you are importing our products in to another country outside the United Kingdom you may be subject to duty or additional taxes dependent on the country you are in, tariffs vary from country to country. DTS Digital are not responsible for any import duty or tax charges issued by your customs office. It will be the customers responsibility to pay any additional import duty or import taxes due for any overseas orders.

Other than goods returned under guarantee in accordance with our terms and conditions, or for shortages or damages reasons, you must notify us before returning products and will only be accepted undamaged and in the original packaging. An administration charge will apply.
Software may not be returned under any circumstances unless defective. Distance selling is regulated by the office of fair trading. Non business customers wishing to return goods under the Distance Selling Act must notify us with in 14 days from receipt of the order in writing. Goods will only be accepted under these terms if unused, in original condition and with original packing intact.

Shortages & Damages
Claims for shortages or damages must be notified to us within 2 days from the date of delivery, giving full details.

Order Cancellation
Cancellation of an order can only be accepted by negotiation and agreement. On no account can cancellation be accepted for special orders. Business customers will be charged a 25% re-stocking fee for cancelled contracts and returned goods where no fault is found.

Unless otherwise stated, goods are guaranteed free from defect caused by faulty materials or workmanship for a period of twelve months from the date of despatch. Semiconductors, IR LED's and other sensitive devices are generally not given a guarantee. Goods must be returned to us (return to base). The customer must pay for the transport of the goods to us. We should be notified promptly in writing or by email or telephone upon discovery of faulty goods. Guarantee claims must be made within 12 months from the date of despatch and accompanied by proof of purchase (delivery note or invoice) and details of the nature of the defect. We reserve the right to inspect, test and assess the goods to confirm that the alleged defect has not been caused by other factors than faulty materials or workmanship, such as neglect, misuse, storage method, wrong installation, wrongful handling, testing, or repair, by alteration or accident.

We are not liable under this Guarantee if:
The full price has not been paid for the goods.
Defects arising from fair wear and tear, wilful damage, negligence, misuse, repairs without our approval, using the goods in an unsuitable way.
The guarantee shall not be affected by and no obligation or liability shall result from providing technical advice or service in connection with your order for the Goods.
Our liability under the Guarantee shall be limited to replacing, repairing or issuing credit-notes.

Limitation of liability
All warranties, conditions or other terms whether express or implied by statute or common law or otherwise are excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law. In particular we make no representation or warranty that the Goods are either of satisfactory or merchantable quality or fit for any purpose or that they conform to any description. You acknowledge and agree that you have used your own judgment in selecting the goods.
We exclude all liability for any loss, damage or expense howsoever suffered or incurred by you as the direct, indirect or consequential result of the goods either not being of satisfactory or merchantable quality, or fit for any purpose, or conforming to any description and you hereby irrevocably waive all rights which you may have in respect of such loss, damage or expense and/or in respect of any breach or default of any warranty implied by statute, equity or common law concerning the quality, fitness or description of the goods.
The conditions do not apply where you deal as a consumer in accordance with section 12 of the Unfair Contracts Terms Act 1977 and to the extent that that such exclusion is not permitted in accordance with the provisions that Act. Your statutory rights remain unaffected by anything in these Conditions.
Nothing in these Conditions shall limit our full liability in respect of death or personal injury caused by our own negligence or under Part 1 of the Consumer Protection Act 1987.
We shall not be liable for incidental or consequential damages for any breach hereof, including but not limited to costs of removal and re-installation of goods, loss of goodwill, loss of profits or loss of use.

Product design and specification changes may be made without notice. Goods may be discontinued by the manufacturer, by the supplier or by us without notice.
Specifications, data and descriptions are correct to the best of our knowledge. All images are used for illustration purposes only. We shall not be for any delay or failure to perform any of our obligations hereunder due to circumstances beyond our control, including (without limitation) acts of civil or military authority, national emergencies, fire or flood, acts of God, war or riots, actions or omissions of third parties.

Price Match Guarantee Terms & Conditions

If you purchase one of our products and find an identical product cheaper online we promise to refund the difference if your claim meets the following conditions.:

  • The dtsdigitalcctv.co.uk refund guarantee applies only to UK internet retailers that have the identical product and/or goods in stock or service immediately available (not on request) and the product, goods and/or service is priced accurately.
  • Price match requests must be submitted within 24 hours from the time of purchase online at the website, dtsdigitalcctv.co.uk. In the case of holiday products, identical product includes the name of the Brand.
  • To qualify, we must be satisfied that (a) both products are identical , and (b) the product product you have found is actually available to buy as one package on the same website.
  • When requesting a price match, please be aware that prices will be compared on the following criteria:

The SagePay payment system uses a combination of established and innovative techniques to ensure the security and integrity of all sensitive data. Their internet facing web servers are certified by Verisign, this ensures that no third parties can impersonate SagePay to obtain secure information.

Transaction Security

The transfer of the less sensitive transaction details from the retailer’s site to SagePay is encrypted and digitally-signed. This ensures that the information passed is secure and tamper-proof.

Security for the Shopper

Any communication between the customer and SagePay is encrypted to the maximum strength supported by the customer's browser. The customer is also protected from fraudulent use of their card in a "card not present" environment, by their card issuer.

Data Storage

All data stored on SagePay systems is held on encrypted and highly secured databases. SagePay are regularly audited by Visa and MasterCard to ensure that their systems conform to the latest security standards.

Payment By Cheque
If you would like to pay by cheque please send your order by email or telephone us with the order. We will then send you a pro-forma invoice and the postal address to send the cheque. Once we have received the cheque and the funds have cleared we will despatch your order.

Payment By Bank Transfer
If you would prefer to make a bank transfer as payment for an order please get in touch by telephone or email. We will send you a pro-forma invoice along with our bank transfer details. Once the funds are in our bank account we will despatch your order immediately.

All prices are billed in UK pounds sterling. If your credit card company or bank operate in a different currency, your credit card company will convert payment from UK pounds sterling to your local currency at their current conversion rate.

All transactions are subject to VAT which is shown at the checkout before you place your order. If you place an order and you are an Irish VAT registered customer can you please email or telephone us with your VAT registration number so we can validate it. Once we have validated your VAT number we will immediately credit the VAT charged on your transaction.

Price changes
All prices and offers are subject to change, and availability. Prices are checked regularly, however, Whilst every effort is made to eliminate errors in pricing, sometimes errors do occur. If prices on the web site are shown higher than actual selling price - we will make adjustments and charge you the correct price, if prices on the web site are shown lower than actual selling price - than we will contact you to either A) cancel your order and refund your money, or B) confirm if you wish to proceed with the order at the correct price. - Subject to not selling below our cost price.


Delivery fees
Delivery fees vary depending on the value of your order. Small orders under £250 (excl VAT) delivered to UK mainland will be charged at £6.99 and all orders £250 (excl VAT) and over will be delivered free of charge. All international shipping charges are listed in the table below.

EU VAT Registered Customers
If you place an order and you are registered for VAT within the European Union you may be entitled to purchase our products at the Zero rate of VAT. Please add your VAT number and a short message in the "Additional information" box during the checkout process. Once we have validated your VAT number we will immediately credit the VAT charged on your transaction. If you would prefer to pay by bank transfer we can send you a pro-forma invoice with your order at the Zero rate of VAT. Please contact us by telephone or email to place an order this way.

Delivery times
Orders placed before 15:00pm will be dispatched the same day orders after this time will be dispatched the following day, but this may vary on the odd occasion i.e. if your item isn't in stock, however you will be contacted if this is the case and will be offered the option of an alternative product of similar specification or a full refund.

If you order more than one item occasional items may be delivered separately this is because some products we supply are dispatched direct from the manufacturer.

Unfortunately we cannot specify a timed delivery. However you may contact the couriers once the order has been dispatched and ask them for an approximate delivery time, but there are no guarantees.

Delivery times stated by DTS Digital are estimated and therefore not guaranteed however we agree to delivery your goods with 30 days from the date of purchase.

Whilst every effort will be made to adhere to any agreed shipment dates, such dates are not guaranteed and the Seller shall not be liable for any expense, loss or damage arising directly from any delay in shipment or delivery however caused. Business customers please note that late delivery shall not be grounds for rejecting Goods or Terminating the Contract. Any refunds agreed for returned or rejected goods under such circumstances will be subject to a 25% re-stocking charge.

What happens if you are not in?
If no one is home to accept your order then you will be left a calling card and the goods will be returned to your local depot. You may contact the couriers to arrange a suitable redelivery date, or it may be possible to pick the order up from the local depot. Please confirm this with the courier first, identification will be required on request.

Signing for Goods

If you are unable to check the contents of the package at time of delivery please sign for the goods as “unchecked”. Failure to do so may affect any warranty claims you make thereafter.

It is your responsibility to sign for the correct number of packages as shown on the carriers delivery consignment note. Any shortages must be noted on the consignment note and it will be your responsibility to notify us within 2 days from delivery.

It is your responsibility to notify us of any incorrect goods supplied immediately from delivery and we will advise you of the correct procedure for rectifying this.

We will not accept liability for goods lost in transit unless we are notified within 2 days from the expected delivery date.

Damaged or defective goods

You should inspect your goods immediately upon delivery for shortages or goods damaged in transit. .

If you find any shortages or damages you must:

Warranties, on all items, are RTB (Return to Base) excluding items damaged in transit, (these will be replaced at no cost to you).

Returns Policy

We understand that sometimes you may change your mind about products you order online for this reason we offer a 30 day money-back guarantee or replacement policy for all items on our website.

If you wish to return the product for any reason, you must contact us within 14 days of receipt of your order, telling us why you wish to return it. You must notify us by telephone, email or in writing before returning goods.

Please note, we do not cover return postage costs under any circumstances. Our postage charge is non refundable on any "non faulty" returns.

All items returned to us for refund must reach us within 30 days from the date of receiving your goods. Items returned for refund outside of this 30 day period will not be accepted and will be returned to the customer at their expense.

As soon as we receive the returned product (within the 30 day time period) unused and in the condition that it was sent and with all original packaging, we guarantee to either refund your purchase price in full (Less £6.99 postage charge) or supply a replacement.

If you are a business customer please note that the above points do not apply to B2B purchases and you should therefore read our terms and conditions.

We reserve the right to charge a 25% re-stocking fee to business customers for cancelled contracts and authorized returns for non-faulty goods. This is to cover card charges, postage costs, handling costs, and administration costs. The re-stocking fee will be taken from any refunds due.

All customers are responsible for freight charges associated with the return of products as well as the proper packaging of the items to avoid product damage during shipping.

We strongly recommend the package you are returning is fully insured. We suggest you use a service that can provide “proof of delivery”. DTS Digital will not be liable for items lost or damaged in transit.

Returned items must be unused, undamaged and in the original packaging, with all original boxes, packing materials, manuals, blank warranty cards, all other accessories however small and documentation provided by the manufacturer.

Any returned products found to be used, modified, altered, tampered with or not to be defective will incur an additional £20 +VAT testing charge plus return shipping costs. This must be paid before the product is returned to you.

Any returned products deemed defective due to customer misuse will also incur an additional £20 +VAT testing charge plus return shipping costs.

Any returned products with items missing, the items missing will be charged to the customer.

Damaged or defective goods

We do not and will not sell or release information provided by you to any other third parties, except when in connection with your orders, or in exceptional cases of debt recovery. Unless required by law.
