This camera features a high resolution 700TVL and boasts a mechanical IR cut off filter that filters out IR light during the day to give fantastic colour reproduction, but mechanically retracts at night to allow great low light performance at night when the camera?s powerful IR LEDs switch on.

Even though the high powered IR LEDs have a 30-40m range, you can use this camera in most positions as the LEDs can be adjusted to suit where the camera has been installed. For example, fit the CAM840 with the LEDs turned up full on the eaves of a building for long range surveillance but fit the same camera next to the doorway and turn the LEDs down to avoid a visitor?s face being whited out.
