With 4, 8 and 16 channel options of the DVR365 available, there's a model to suit any requirement from the small shop to the large supermarket. Its modular design means that you can use more than one unit at the same site to continually and effortlessly record images and sounds from more than 16 cameras. When you are monitoring the DVR365, the remote monitoring software provided allows you to store the details of more than one DVR365 so that connecting to each unit is effortless. Security is provided in the form of a user name and password.

<< So what can the DVR365 do? >>

The DVR365 is a "digital video recorder". It records both the video and audio from CCTV cameras in a digital format on to its built in hard drive(s). The stored video and audio data can be replayed locally at the DVR through a CCTV monitor, on a computer that can be connected to the DVR over a LAN (Local Area Network) or via the internet using an ADSL connection.

Computers connected to the DVR over a LAN or ADSL internet connection can also see and hear live video and audio that makes the DVR365 a great product for remote monitoring applications in addition to its powerful digital recording abilities.

In addition to its powerful on site video and audio recording functions, the DVR365 is a superb product for remote monitoring applications either over a LAN (local area network) or the Internet. Using high performance network software, authorised users can remotely access both live or recorded images and sound on their computers so the DVR365 can be installed or locked away anywhere on an installation safely out of sight.

There are two methods of remotely monitoring images from the DVR365. You can use either method to see live or recorded data from the DVR365 over a LAN or an Internet connection.

1. Remotely connect to the DVR365 using Internet Explorer.

The DVR365 has an excellent feature where you can connect to it using Internet Explorer. You simply enter the IP address of the DVR365 and the two will start to communicate with each other.

Internet Explorer then automatically downloads some program files from the DVR and your PC is set up to monitor live or recorded images directly from the unit. This method of connection is very simple and has other similar features to the self-installed client software.

2. Remotely connect to the DVR365 using Client Software.

This free software is supplied with the DVR365 and you can install as many copies of it as you like without paying any licence or royalty fees. Just like using the "Internet Explorer" option the software is configured with the DVR's IP address and a user name and password so that only authorised users can access the DVR and control it according to their status - "admin", "user" or "guest".

The client software has a friendly easy to use feel about it and many users of the DVR prefer using the client software to that of IE for remotely connecting to the DVR. The software has numerous features for playing back recorded files, downloading files, setting up the DVR remotely and more.

By using this software on a PC, you can "hide" the DVR365 anywhere in the building and only physically access the unit when absolutely necessary. All other features can be carried out from a networked PC. You can of course have several DVR365 units on a network and connect to any of them from any networked PC. This means, for example, that you could use one DVR for internal cameras and another for external cameras. The DVR's don't even have to be at the same site or installation!

<< Who could use the DVR365? >>

The DVR365 is recommended for anyone requiring long term unattended recording in real time quality (not timelapse like lower spec DVRs). With the ability to record video and audio on every camera input and play back this information live or recorded anywhere in the world, the DVR365 is in a league of its own.

The DVR365 is really a top quality DVR and a powerful multi-channel video server built into one easy to use "black box". For the CCTV installer, the DVR365 provides an easy to fit, high performance and flexible solution to the security and remote monitoring needs of their customers. For the customer, the DVR365 provides great value for money with all the technology in one box at a truly remarkable price.
