There are many reasons why for some installations it is not possible to use cables due to the distance between the camera and the recording device, buildings may be in the way or the quality of the video signal is reduced over long distances due to voltage drop in the power cable.

In these circumstances the best option may be to use a wireless transmitter and receiver. Where a wireless receiver is connected to your DVR or monitor and your camera is connected to the transmitter. This pair are capable of producing surveillance images at a distance of up to 1000m (1Km) when an additional high gain antenna is purchased with the MITKIT.  The images and audio are transmitted digitally which offers far superior quality to that of the standard analogue wireless methods.

You can use up to 20 MITKIT devices on one install without the signals becoming confused or distorted. Each receiver should be installed no less than 5 metres apart and no transmitter should be installed within 5 metres of one another. The wireless signals transmitted by the MITKIT are secure and the MITKIT is also capable of changing the frequency of the signal if it detects an outside device which is trying to use the same frequency. It does this without adjusting the quality of the video signal.
