The alienWebcam is a very useful software module that allows you to capture snapshot images from any of your camera channels and automatically upload them to a web server for display on your company website.
How does it work?
alienWebcam connects to alienDVRs, takes snapshot images and then saves them on a PC or on to a website URL. This means companies can use the alienDVR to provide webcam pics or even provide timed photo snapshots.
alienWebcam also has a timelapse feature which records snapshots at different times of the day and saves them locally to create a high speed video of a specified time period - often seen on TV to depict flowers blooming or seasons changing.
Who uses it?
This software has been used to provide snapshot images of buildings being constructed, traffic monitoring and even on a golf course to show website users the current conditions!
